The Pavilion  was originally a council owned building created to provide space for people using Middlewood Park, much like other pavilions in the city.  Years of neglect meant it was leaking, in a great state of disrepair and needed lots of money spending on it.  The local council did not have the funds available or the need to carry out this work.  It was with this in mind Middlewood Winners saw this as the perfect location for our project and after alot of haggling and meetings aquired a lease.

The capital cost of the work was over £1,000,000. Completion of this was celebrated in September 2004 with a grand opening in the company of Mr David Blunkett MP and the whole community.
